Amit Bansal is a technology and finance professional, specialized in global financial markets and impact investing, with over 8 years of experience in banking and capital markets, originating, structuring, and executing complex financial transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), sponsor buyouts, bilateral and syndicated lending, debt market issuance, as well as in deal team, client, and portfolio management. Additionally, he has a successful record in controlling portfolio risk and achieving risk adjusted return targets.

Amit currently serves as Transcarbon International’s Special Consultant on India, Field Market Researcher, and Business Analyst. He is based in Mumbai and has worked across several global financial markets with client coverage across multiple sectors. He is also a strong supporter of social causes and has been appointed as the Chapter Head in India of The Global Sourcing Council (GSC), a non-profit organization based in New York City focused on sustainable, socially responsible sourcing practices.

Among his most pertinent accomplishments, Amit has worked from conception to implementation in setting up a 100 kW off-grid solar power project in the state of Uttar Pradesh, which received a subsidy from the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission of the Government of India. He is very well aware of the various incentives, policies, and regulations of the different State Governments and the Central Government of India that apply to energy and low-carbon technology projects.

Amit holds an Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) degree in Finance and Master’s (M.E.) and Bachelor’s (M.Sc.) degrees in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University (United States of America).
